I have a Digital coaxial with screw like tip cable but

it doesn't fit in my dvd player? I brought a digital coaxial cable on ebay as my dvd player has a plug that has under it the words: digital coaxial. But it does noe have a screw like connection. More of a normal aerial connection.What do I do?
