I have an Ipod nano 3rd Generation, My screen...

...has paused and it won't turn off or anything! HELP!? I was looking through my pictures and suddenly the screen pauses. It doesn't respond to anything. It is also not recognizable on itunes and my laptop. Can anyone help me out?
