I downloaded new songs to my ipod and I unplugged...

...it, then I went to listen to it and all my songs were gone! Is ther anyway that I can recover these songs?I tried to plug it back in and put the songs I have on this computer back on my iPod but the songs wont even go on.[I have songs on my iPod from about 3 different computers]
