Does my motherboard support AMD ahtlon x2?

Hello, i have a MSI platium k8n neo4 motherboard and i want to know if it can support AMD athlon x2. On the motherboard box it says it only supports Athlon , Athlon FX but then i looked up for the same motherboard at Msi official site and it says Amd Athlon x2 ready.
