Do I need to keep my setup application?

Do i realy need to keep the setup application on my computer after the software had been downloaded? Ive noticed that it takes up space on my computer. Also after i download programs on UTorrent do i need to keep all that junk? Ex. readme, setup, activate. I know im suppose to keeep the program files though
