First is the motherboard, it's the main circuit board that everything hook into. You will have a power supply, large box with fan. Hard drive, all data is stored on it. CD ROM or DVD ROM, just the drive to play them. Memory chips, ram......rectangular circuit boards on the motherboard. CPU, brain of the motherboard, almost always has a square fan covering it to keep it cool. They're pretty simple, the hardest problems are with the software........I hope this helps!

Hi babygurl Your question sounds like as if you are taking our exam. Anyways here it is.the CPU is the brainMother Board is the Heartthe RAM is the short-term memorythe HDD is the long-term memoryKeyboard & Mouse: Hands and LegsSpeaker: ears.Monitor: eyesBy keyboard and mouse we input anything we want It goes to CPU and get process, During the process it stays in Ram memory and once it is finish processing and we want to save permanently then it goes to Hard Disk. And all the components sits in Mother board which provide the common platform for devices, components to sit and behave in there manner.

Imagine the computer as a person sitting in front of a desk. The CPU is his brain, it is what takes information from things on the desk, does stuff with it, and spits out more information onto the desk. The RAM is the desk itself, it encompasses the things that the person is currently and actively working on. The bigger a desk you have, the more complex tasks you can do on it, and the more separate tasks you can have going at once. The Hard Drive is a nearby filing cabinet. It is used for long term storage rather than immediate work. It is where you put things that you want to keep until who-knows-when. The bigger it is, or the more cabinets you have, the more you can store.

Here's the best analogy I've ever heard in regards to the processor, RAM and the hard drive...and one I use often when describing computer workings to folks just learning about them.Picture yourself in a workshop, one where you're going to build something out of wood or whatever you fancy. The processor is the working space in front of you. It's limited, as there is only so much space on the table, but quick because you can get to the things on the table quickly. The faster the processor, the quicker your ability to pick up that tool on the table and put it into use.The RAM is the storage space under the table. The more space you have there (the larger your amount of RAM is), the quicker you can grab those tools and use them - but it's going to take a second to grab them. The hard drive is the attic. You can store a whole bunch of stuff up there (the larger the hard drive, the more you can store), but it's going to take some time to go get it and use it.Hope that helped!
