Dell Vostro BIOS Question?

I downloaded the A00 BIOS for a dell vostro 1500. I ran it and restarted my computer. Now whenever I try to delete the icon off of my desktop it says it can't and is in use. Is there anyway to delete it? and Is this the most current BIOS for my laptop?
