Why? I recently bought a lga 775 socket cpu fan for my pentium d cpu on an intel D945GCz microbtx motherboard. But when i took out the previous heatsink of my cpu i noticed that the holes were way to far apart to fit my new cpu fan. And there werent any other holes or openings for my fan either. Now i know that i got the socket type and everything right, but so now, is it possibly that microbtx have different fan sockets than atx and microatx. If so (which is what i think, comparing pictures of microbtx and atx motherboards), does anyone know where i can buy a microbtx fan? thanxno the motherboard is a d945 but the socket is still 775, and no screws are too far aport for my new one.
