combine head unit with factory CD changer?

Some head units like the Pioneer AVIC-D3 only has one disc slot which can be used for either GPS or CD/DVD at one time but not both. Is it possible to combine it with the CD changer that came with my car, to keep the CD changer? The manual for the D3 is here:http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v3...mponentThe installation manual shows that a CD changer may be connected by IP-BUS cable to a satellite tuner then to another satellite tuner then finally back to the head unit -- can the CD changer be connected directly to the head unit by this IP-BUS cable?
