No you cannot get it free. It is commercial software and you need to pay for it. I recommend to get Ubuntu Linux (http://www.ubuntulinux.org) which is also good if you just wanna use:Surf InternetDo normal office application Watch DVD/MoviesMultimedia (MP3 )/ Burnand much more

Microsoft Windows 98 Operating System is propritary and is not distributed for free. Hence, you need to pay for it. Another fact is that MS dosen't provide support for Windows 98 anymore, so the proce value has gone down tremendously. Instead, you can download flavours of linux which you can get for free. Following are links for some flavours(1) Yoper : http://www.yoper.com/(2) Suse :http://www.novell.com/linux/suse/(3) Ubunto :http://www.ubuntulinux.orgJust download it and burn it on a CD. Boot from it and you are ready to install
