BookWorm Deluxe Help for Windows Vista?!?

on my windows vista, i had bookworm deluxe installed on it, and one day i wen to play it and it said this,unable to prepare game executable bookworm deluxe. i had gotten really far on it, and i don't want to lose all my data, i evern tried re-installing it and my computer made this weird funny noise. PLEASE HELP
