When I try to load DVDs, it seems as if they should work but they never load. Every now & then if I'm fortunate it will open my DVD player (windows media) but it will not display the movie. It used to happen every now and then before this but I have just bought a new HP w1907 monitor, so I was wondering if there was a setting I had to fix. My computer is a HP Pavillion a1450n had it for about 15 mnths. Any ideas what may be wrong? Broken? Cleaning? Some setting I need to change? Thanks 
A) I have windows media player, divx, VLC...B) It shows up as E:/C) I put the DVD in, and then the light on the DVD drive blinks on and off for awhile & stops....I got it to work one time earlier today out of about 50 tries.It's not the DVDs because they all work on other DVD players with no problem.D) CDs work perfectly on it.
