I lack skills to make my own. I've has a Dell for almost 8 years and I'm probably living on borrowed time with it. However, Dell has discontinued e-check purchasing and I don't have a credit card to make any online purchases. I'm debating whether to go to a store like Best Buy, Comp USA or Circuit City; to have one custom built by the local "fix-it" guy; or buy a used one. New ones have Vista installed which I have heard some negative things about. Please advise. Thanks.
