the rim size has nothing to do with traction. It depends on the tire. if you go from a 13 to 14 the side of the tire will be different but the diameter will be the same. if the diameter is different then it could bring problems with your speedo

THERE WOULD BE NO PROBLEM WITH CHANGE YOUR WHEELS FROM 13" TO 14". THAT DOES NOT CHANGE YOU TRACTION. I DRIVE A 2002 HYUNDAI ACCENT HERE IN THE U.S.A. AND I PUT 17" WHEELS WITH 225/40R17Z SIZE TIRES ON THE WHEEL. THEY ARE A LOT BIGGER THEN BEFORE. I ALSO NOTICE A DIFFENENCE TAKING LEFT AND RIGHT TURNS. I LIKE THE CHANGE.
