I currently have an old laptop that is running windows 98 that i would like to use. i would like to upgrade to windows xp, but not able to find xp anywhere in shops, so wondered if i can upgrade to windows vista home basic. Am i able to do this as i was told by guy in shop that i have to check and see if computer is compatible, what does that mean, and also he said if it isnt then i cant upgrade, is this correct ?? I thought that if system is already running off windows software that i would just beable to upgrade. Without upgrading i am not able to use any of the security programs as they all require xp or vista, please help me !!
