I own a ATI Mobility 9600 video card. I have looked on their website, and thought that they didn't make Linux drivers, but than someone on a online forums said they had theirs running with Linux drivers.I have tried installing Fedora, but that didn't work. I got Ubuntu running actually, but was just having a hard time getting the video card drivers so I can play windows games using Cedega. I was thinking about selling the laptop soon so I can buy a desktop with a Nvidia card in it. Big GrinI think I might still do that if I am going to have to build a .deb package from scratch in order to install the drivers. Can someone please tell me where I might find a .deb package for the Radeon drivers? Maybe it is in Synaptic?TJ has a link to the support page with Linux drivers, but I am wondering if that will work for the Mobility chipset?

Here are some for Debian.http://xoomer.virgilio.it/flavio.stanchi...ler.htmlas this is the mobility chipset i think the poster probably has a laptop. most of the time you cannot just install a new display adapter on a laptop.

If you get a decent distro like Ubuntu, the drivers will be provided. Otherwise, Nvidia puts the drivers right on the product page. ATI does have less support for linux, but ATI cards will work just fine in most distros. I'd recommend Ubuntu though, it will most likely work right out of the box.
