Macintosh G3 to my new iMac G5? My old Mac is a G3 desktop computer with no internal Zip station and no FireWire port. Is it possible to connect these two computers with some kind of cable? What kind of cable will be needed, and what software may be necessary?

The simplist would be to connect them to a network hub with an Ethernet cable, give each a static IP, turn on sharing and copy over the network. You could also do the same with a cross-over cable. No additional software is needed. Many DSL or cable modems have built-in DHCP servers, so if you have ports available on your router/modem, you can use them and not worry with the static IP address.
