1.8V ram in 1.5v motherboard?

i am really confused about this. The board i am getting says 1.5v for standard 667 DDR2 DIMM (it is a Gigabyte GA 945GCMX-S2 s775) but most 1gb ram i see is 1.8v. wil they work together? and can PC25400 work with a motherboard which supports PC25300?thanks
